In my humble opinion, Bjork is one of the most talented artists on the planet - she is also an activist to preserve the earth's beauty. She has teamed up with the Dirty Projectors to create an album whose proceeds will all directly benefit the National Geographic Society Ocean Initiative.
The track below, "Mount Wittenberg Orca", is about whales, and you can actually hear the distant, cold, nautical influence in the vocal layers put together by Bjork, David Longstreth, Amber Coffman, Angel Deradoorian and Haley Dekle. If you've ever gone whale watching or seen a program about them on tv, you can hear their siren calls back and forth to each other and this is exactly what this song encapsulates. Just beautiful.
