M. Ward and Zooey D. will be releasing She & Him's second album, "Volume Two", next week. I'm a sucker for both of these artists but am having a very hard time getting over Zooey's voice making me think of her Cotton commercial.

Overall, it's a pretty slick throwback to early rock 'n roll/doo-wop; the music her singing voice was made for. Perhaps it's my own A.D.D., or living in short attention span city, but I can only hang with this album for a few songs before wanting to change up the pace. It is what it is - and that is sweetly predictable.
