Spinner's "Full Album Listening Party" is just about the best shindig in town. I've had some good luck finding musicians I otherwise wouldn't have known about. This week, I've been blowing up the debut LP from Hockey, "Mind Chaos". These guys could totally kick Vampire Weekend's ass.
There are some sexy sexy bass lines mixed with dance rock and funk sensibility. The first track on the album, "Too Fake" is a perfect opener, setting the tone for an all-out raucous party time throughout the rest of the album. Each track is different enough to set it apart and be a standout from the next.
They're currently touring Europe but will be headed stateside next month with Portugal the Man.

Hey, I love you guys! I saw you at Sasquatch Festival last year, and I couldn't get enough. I know you're doing a show at the University of Oregon, so would you ever consider stopping by the University of Idaho as well?
