Diane Birch is a bit of a wonder. To look at her, you wouldn't expect the singer-songwriter to have the retro-soul sound that comes from her small frame. The tracks she has put down on her critically-acclaimed debut album, Bible Belt, are filled with wisdom beyond her 26 years and she seems to go between genres and influences seamlessly.
As I listened to her perform, "Nothing But a Miracle" on The Late Show with David Letterman she first reminded me of Beth Orton which quickly turned into Chan Marshall and then Carole King after that. She was like a one-woman Lilith Fair! I'm expecting big things from this performer. Check out her Letterman appearance below.
