Sonic Youth - "The Eternal"

I haven't always "gotten" the magic of Sonic Youth's music. In fact, I tended to like versions of other bands covering their music more than them playing their tunes themselves. Their latest album "The Eternal" has changed everything for me. Maybe I've just gotten ripe enough to finally appreciate their sound, or maybe this album is just so much better than everything in the past.

Don't take my word for it though, stream it it its entirety now (link only good until June 14, 2009)

Also, check out the L.A. Times album review.
