This past weekend was the 12th annual Race for Hope, a 5k walk/run to raise money towards brain tumor research. Last year's winner of American Idol, David Cook, was in attendance and at the end of the race he let the crowd know his ailing brother, Adam, had lost his battle with brain cancer the day before.
Our thoughts are with David and his family. The only good thing to come out of this is that the Race for Hope raised almost two million dollars. Below is the speech he gave:
