Lily Allen has a new song up on her myspace page and the jury is still out. "Everyone's At It" is like a groovy PSA (cue rainbow and "The More You Know"). The message is very clear: everyone is self-medicating; from young children to politicians and we need to do something about it. Lily makes strange bedfellows with Nancy Reagan but at least she doesn't pretend to "smell of roses".
I guess I applaud musicians who use their fame to get a good message out to save the children - but at the same time it comes off as having a little fromage. This latest tune is definitely catchy but my ears prefer to just hum along instead of taking away its true meaning.
