Dear Readers,
On this Valentine's Day, we hope you sit back, relax, and realize that it's pretty much all a bunch of crap. No, we're not jaded, we just like to take the Heidi Klum approach to life. It shouldn't take a Hallmark holiday to tell the person you're with that you love them. It also shouldn't be the only time of year you think about sending or receiving flowers (those die anyway).
Our gift to you all? Well, we wanted to make you a heart-shaped meatloaf but figured it would probably get cold by the time it got to you. So instead, we put together some links for the lovers, the haters and those of you who fall somewhere in between.

Larry Tee, who has remixed Princess Superstar and Kelly's Shoes song, put together this cute lil Valentine's video for you. It stars a cute little girl who looks like a mix between Punky Brewster and Alanis Morisette. We happen to like all of her likes too. She's rad.
We can always count on the peeps at NPR to give us more than a few Valentines Mix Tape Options.
And the Oh Word blog gives us some songs that probably didn't make it onto NPR's list of Valentine's Day jams.
Here are some of our picks. They aren't necessarily the tunes you'd expect to be on a Valentine's mix. Some are more dancey, some are more emo and others are more crush-worthy. Either way, we'd hold your hand while listening to them.
